Christina Skleros is often remembered as the New York Yankees ‘Good Luck Charm’ as she braved the media before the series clinching Game Six of the 1996 World Series, sang the national anthem proudly for President Clinton the day before the ’96 election, performed at NFL ‘Opening Day’, or emotionally opened the TWA Flight 800 Memorial Service for Gov. Pataki on CNN. When Christina takes the stage she sounds and performs like a seasoned veteran!

Christina is a senior attending William Paterson University's prestigious Jazz Program as a vocalist. Her first three years were spent attending Manhattan School of Music as a 'Classical Vocal Performance Major' where she was awarded the distinguished ‘President’s Award’ Scholarship.

In addition, she received the 2006 Hellenic Times ‘Melina Kanakaredes Scholarship for the Arts’ at the Marriott Marquis in New York City and was a finalist in the Dianne Reeves Carnegie Hall Workshop for Jazz Singers. She appeared on National Public Radio’s award winning program ‘From the Top’ with Pulitzer Prize and Oscar Winner, John Corigliano in New York’s Florence Gould Recital Hall. And few years ago, Christina was invited to the White House to sing for the congressmen, the president, and their families during “Christmas at The White House”. She was also selected to perform at the ‘From the Top’ Gala at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall and to open New York’s Bryant Park Young Artists Concert Series.

Her High School farewell concert, "Christina and Friends" earned rave reviews and played to over 750 people at the Ocean First Theater in New Jersey. She was accompanied by French Horn Virtuoso Sharon Moe and National Trumpet Competition Winner, Charles Porter along with current and former NJ All-State Jazz Musicians. Her vocal duets with Tenor, Wayne Hobbs and Broadway Actor, Carl Anthony Tramon along with the amazing musical accompaniment wowed the audience. In November 2005, she was selected to close the Manhattan School of Music Precollege 'Capitol Campaign Concert' with Stephen Schwartz's ‘Defying Gravity’ and will be forever grateful to Dr. Joanne Polk and the Precollege staff for their love and guidance.

In addition to her recent work, Christina has:
-- studied with Tony Award Winner, Betty Buckley
-- studied in Tony Award nominee, Craig Carnelia's ‘Musical Performance Class’
-- starred as ‘The Jazz Singer’ in the Off-Broadway production of composer, Philip Springer’s (Santa Baby, How Little We Know) ‘The Last Songbird’

-- starred as ‘Anita’ in a regional production of ‘West Side Story’
-- debuted her solo cabaret act, ‘Something to Talk About’, under the guidance of musical greats David Brunetti, Barry Kleinbort and David Friedman at the legendary ‘Don't Tell Mama’.

Christina is also the owner of ‘Music Makers Studio’, located in Barnegat and Wayne, New Jersey. She teaches voice and piano to her very talented students.
